Throughout the participants’ training program at the Hyatt Regency Austin, participants will have the opportunity to train and rotate through various outlets at the Hyatt Regency Austin to gain a full understanding of Food & Beverage operations of the property. While participants may be designated to be training in a specific outlet during a specific phase, there will also be opportunity to receive training in other outlets while being assigned similar training tasks of the particular phase the participant is in. This is to provide the participant with 1) adequate training hours per week equal to 32-hours per week or possibly more; and 2) to continue to develop the participants understanding of the Food & Beverage Department at the Hyatt Regency Austin. Participants will be informed of any specific changes to their specific outlets and informed of any specific schedule changes ahead of time to be best prepared for success. | Please refer to your DS 7002 training plan that the Hyatt Regency Austin, your host organization has offered you. This is a training opportunity and not a work program. Your training will help give you hands-on experience in U.S. business practices in your chosen occupational field or field of study. | During your training program while placed at the Hyatt Regency Austin, participants may be placed in one of following three rotational programs: | 1. Orientation/On-Boarding | 2. Commis Waiter – Front of House Operations (Cypress Grove; Ripple & Root) | 3. Espresso Chef / Brewmaster / Barista / Digital Dining (IRD) | 4. Server/Host – Front of House Operations (Cypress Grove; Ripple & Root) | 1. Orientation/On-Boarding | 2. Espresso Chef / Brewmaster / Barista / Digital Dining (IRD) | 3. Server/Host – Front of House Operations (Cypress Grove; Ripple & Root) | 4. Commis Waiter – Front of House Operations (Cypress Grove; Ripple & Root) | 1. Orientation/On-Boarding | 2. Server/Host – Front of House Operations (Cypress Grove; Ripple & Root) | 3. Commis Waiter – Front of House Operations (Cypress Grove; Ripple & Root) | 4. Espresso Chef / Brewmaster / Barista / Digital Dining (IRD) | The participant will be placed in one of the three rotational programs above and this will be determined upon arrival. Each participant will have an opportunity to rotate through each area at various points in their programs.
